Romans 8:31-37 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Truth #4 - God’s Love is Undiluted. Undiluted : not diminished, weakened, or restrained in any way: pure. Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? The Holy Spirit brings a guarantee. Romans 8:35 The Fear of Separation. The Reality of Suffering. The Security of Christ. Romans 8 opens with NO CONDEMNATION and ends with NO SEPARATION. Psalm 51:11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. FEAR : false evidence appearing real. Galatians 2:20 …the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me. Ephesians 1:6 NLT So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son. Mark 1:11 You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Psalm 139:7-12 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. Romans 8:36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Psalm 44:26 Arise for our help and redeem us for Your mercies’ sake. The reality of suffering reveals the reality of His love; the strength and extent of His love. How wide and how long; how high and how deep…Ephesians 3:18 Daniel 3:25 “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. Philippians 3:10. That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death. Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Lamentations 3:22–23 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Hosea 3:1-2 NLT Then the Lord said to me, “Go and love your wife again, even though she commits adultery with another lover. This will illustrate that the Lord still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and love to worship them.” So I bought her back for fifteen pieces of silver and five bushels of barley and a measure of wine. Psalm 51:1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. John 10:28–29 No one will snatch them out of my hand…or out of My Father’s hand. Ephesians 3:17 Be rooted and grounded in love.
