Summary of Acts. The people of God (the church, made of ordinary people!) have been entrusted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and empowered by His Holy Spirit with the Good News that transforms lives. CLARITY in Acts. Supernatural power. Devotion. Missional service (outward focused). Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38 MSG. Jesus, anointed by God with the Holy Spirit, ready for action. He went through the country helping people and healing everyone who was beaten down by the Devil. He was able to do all this because God was with Him. We carry the anointing of the anointed One. All that Jesus IS, God meant for you to be. All that He HAS, God meant for you to have. All that Jesus DID, God meant for you to do. God wants to speak TO you and THROUGH you. Jesus is the Spirit of revelation. Prophecy is a reflection of Him. Isaiah 60:1-3 NKJV The prophetic creates an atmosphere for the glory of God to reveal itself and show off in our midst. Hebrews 2:4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will. Luke 24:49  Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high. The purpose of the supernatural is to bear witness of Jesus, glorify Jesus, direct eyes to Him. (John 16:14) Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” When the church lives in the Holy Spirit empowerment, the evidence is supernatural, bringing healing and freedom. Acts 8:11-12 They heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time. But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized. Acts 8:18-19 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, saying, “Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” Acts 8:23 For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity. Bitterness and sin are blockages to the supernatural. Ephesians 4:30-32 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Supernatural power is connected to grace and forgiveness. Hebrews 12:14-17
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;  lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears. Pornography. 4115 million a day. 5 million an hour. 80,000 a minute. 28,000 a second. Galatians 5:1, 13 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
