NTCC Sunday 11/17/2024 CCLI : #1600893 NOTES: You are an asset for the Kingdom of God. An item of value. Something useful to foil or defeat an enemy. An advantage or resource. 2 Peter 1:5-11  But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There’s a treasure in you the Lord wants to purify, redeem and release because you are an asset for His kingdom. Prophesy over your life! God is my Source. God is my Light. God is my Strength. God is my Way. God is my Protector. God is my God. God is my Redeemer. God is my Example. God is my Foundation. Matthew 16:18-19 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Peter’s life was transformed through : 1. The prophetic. 2. A teachable spirit. 3. Grace. 4. The Holy Spirit. Humility. (NTCC Core Value) We carry the same attitude as Christ and embody a life of service. Hebrews 12:5-6 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges (punishes) every son whom He receives. The Bible considers it wisdom to embrace instruction and rebuke because they give guidance. (Proverbs 5:23, 13:18) Grace. (NTCC Core Value) We find rest and joy in God’s unearned favor. 2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. No situation is to dire, dark or difficult for God Almighty! Revelation 22:12 Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. John 21:18-19 Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, “Follow Me.”
