Talk Back. Elders. July 6, 2025. 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may desire. Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the Power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but, against principalities, powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with the belt of truth, and having on the breastplate if Righteousness. And your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace. Above all, take the shield of Faith, where with you shall be able to quench the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Praying always with all prayers and supplication in the Spirit, for all saints. 3 Keys about your Authority in Christ: 1.We have to know what it is. 2. We have to know it belongs to us. 3. We have to know how to release it. Authority : the Power to give orders, make decisions and enforce obedience. Luke10:19 Look, I have given you Authority over all the power of the enemy, you can walk on scorpions and snakes and CRUSH/TRAMPLE them under your feet nothing will harm you. Snakes and Scorpions are symbolic; they represent evil powers, dark forces, opposition. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, they are plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future an a hope. John 10:10 The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do far more Exceedingly and Abundantly above all that we ask or think, According to the Power that works in us. Luke 10:17 When the 72 returned they joyfully reported, Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name. Anointing is a significant action typically involving the application of oil and an encounter with the Holy Spirit. It is the process by which an individual experience consecration, empowerment, healing, deliverance, favor and blessing. Romans 10:8 That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Consecration: Anointing sets individuals apart. Sanctification: The process of being purified or made morally or spiritually pure is the way God separates us. Exodus 29:7 “You shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him. 1 Samuel 16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. And the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah Empowerment: Equipping people for divine tasks. With the anointing comes POWER. 1 Samuel 10:6 The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person. 1 Samuel 16:13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Judges 14:6 The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. Judges 6:34 Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet, summoning the Abiezrites to follow him. Ezekiel 2:2 As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.” Luke 1:35 The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.’” Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. Healing as a Result of the Holy Spirit’s Anointing. Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Mark 6:13 And they cast out many demons and anointed with oil many who were sick and healed them. Acts 4:30 By stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus. Acts 9:18 Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized. Favor is a Result of the Holy Spirit’s Anointing Acts 2:46 Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Acts 6:10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke. Acts 16:14-15 Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, ‘If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.’ So she persuaded us.” Blessing and Miracles as a Result of the Holy Spirit’s Anointing. Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Ephesians 1:13-14 You were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance… John 7:38-39 As the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive… Acts 19:11-12 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Galatians 3:5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
